Kevin Harrison

Kevin Harrison and his wife Cathy.

Kevin Harrison has lead a charmed life.

He and his wife, Cathy O’Hara Harrison, traveled to China twice to adopt their two beautiful children and have had a strong case of wanderlust ever since. Thanks to Cathy landing an early position at Airbnb, their entire family (including dogs and cat) found themselves moving to Barcelona, Spain in 2012; eventually landing in Dublin, Ireland in 2014 where they lived for 3 years. Harrison continued to work on painting commissions as well as Feature Film EPK edit projects for a studio back in the States while living abroad. He has edited on BTS projects on films with such notable actors as Robert DeNiro, John Cusack, Andie MacDowell and Louis Gossett jr. to name a few.

After 5 years the family returned home to Charleston and since then Harrison has edited on a number of Feature Documentary films including one about the importance of music on the developing brain (FIND YOUR GROOVE), as well as a film about the early influences on the Minneapolis-based musician Prince (Mr. NELSON—From The North Side). In 2019 he was contacted by the manager of the jazz band Ranky Tank asking him if he was interested in directing some music videos for them. The first video for the song “GOOD TIME” was filmed around Charleston’s East Side culminating in a wild Juke Joint scene shot at The Commodore on Meeting Street. Their new album (as well as the video) was released on July 12th and has received quite a favorable response. It currently holds the Number 2 slot on Billboards Top 100 Jazz Albums in the country.
